Regardless of your age, gender or sexual identity condoms play an important part in protecting against STIs.

Top Ten Condom Hacks
- Checking the expiry date on the condom
- Make sure the condom's packaging has not been punctured
- Follow the instructions to make sure you put the condom on correctly
- Unroll the condom onto the penis and leave room at the top of the condom but ensure air is removed,
- Don't try to unroll it before putting it on
- Use a condom friendly lubricant during sex (look for water-based lubricants to avoid damaging the condom)
- Hold the base of the condom when withdrawing after sex, so that it doesn’t slip off
- Dispose of the condom in the bin, if you attempt to flush it down the toilet, they will often float back or cause a blockage
- Never remove a condom and put it on again
- Using a condom if you are having oral sex with a man can prevent getting an STI that can be passed via the mouth
